| On November 18th we all lost a very dear spirit all too suddenly. On the evening of December 29th we will join together to celebrate his life and recollect our fond memories of “Jersey” Mike Van Jura. This event will be an opportunity for friends, colleagues and family members to gather in one place to smile and laugh our way through memories of the many years we were all blessed by Mike’s company.
Mike was more than a promoter. He was a dedicated blogger and activist, he was a social connector, he was a drinking buddy, he was a loving father. He adopted the city of Harrisburg and left a mark that will not soon be forgotten The evening will feature performances by artists such as:
The performances will be inter-spaced by fond memories recounted by those who knew him.
There will be no cover for this event. We encourage all those who are mourning his loss to attend. The event will be informal and of a celebratory nature. Somber is not how Jersey would’ve wanted it.
Donations will be accepted for the K&L Guardian Foundation and some of Mike’s framed art collection will be available for auction.
