Minimum wage was $1.00 an hour, Hawaii became the 50th state, The Twilight Zone premiered on CBS and it was the year “the day the music died” when Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper and Richie Valens perished in a tragic plane crash. Eisenhower was in office with Nixon as Veep and Castro took over as dictator of Cuba. America was experiencing life after wartime and the boom was underway. Join us as we ring in the New Year with rocking live music and throwback drink specials while paying tribute to a time when men wore hats and rock and roll became the norm.
