From arranging music for the “Andy Mowatt Trio” and “Andy Mowatt’s Steely Jam”, touring the northeast with the award winning bands, herbie and UZO, sailing the seas with the Princess Cruises orchestra, and performing in productions at American Music Theatre, Andy Mowatt has come to enjoy making all kinds of music for all kinds of crowds. If it’s a full out rock show with energetic stage presence, an extra touch of style and character on your next project, or ambient solo jazz guitar filling the air during dinners and banquets, Andy Mowatt is a jack of all trades, master of several. With years of experience playing a variety of styles and occasions, your musical needs are creatively fulfilled.
Andy Mowatt is grateful to play guitar and make music full time. Having the pleasure to perform and work with a variety of amazingly talented musicians, engineers, producers, teachers and friends alike, Andy is always striving to learn from the best and enjoy the process of making music with others. His lifelong journey is sharing creativity and the innate love of artful expression through music. “Surrendering myself to music is the greatest feeling in the world; it is truly seeking God in every breath”. When not making music, Andy spends his time reading, driving, cooking, traveling, listening, experiencing and enjoying. He graduated from Lebanon Valley College with a Bachelors Degree in Music and Recording Technology, as well as concentration studies in jazz, guitar performance, religion and philosophy.
