Join us for a gala evening celebrating folk music and dance in Central PA. It’s a very special event that supports future SFMS programming. This year it’s a cèilidh, a Celtic house party, and a tip o’ the hat to the Scots-Irish who settled the Appalachian mountains. Settle in for some great music and craic, as well as tasty snacks, scrumptious desserts, and The Abbey’s fine beverages.

Costume Contest

Wear your favorite kilt or kirtle, or come garbed as an ancient Celtic lord or lady! Or come as you are.

Live Local Music

Lace up your dancing shoes and be ready for some fine musical fare from these local Celtic bands:

  •  Seasons
consists of the Lee siblings Mary-Kate Spring, Peter Winter, Mary-Teresa Summer, Mary-Grace Autumn, and Mary-Clare Chun. The Lees seek not only to pay homage to the rich tradition of Celtic and American folk music that they grew up in, but also to treat it as a living, breathing entity.
  •  Across the Pond
is a multi-instrumental trio performing their own high-energy arrangements of Irish and Scottish tunes and songs. The group is comprised of Mike Morrison, Chuck Krepley and Dan Diviney.
  •  Cormorant’s Fancy
specializes in the traditional music of Ireland, Scotland, and the Celtic Nations. Formed in 2003, the band currently includes Stephen Folkemer, Beth Folkemer, Margaret Folkemer, Chuck Krepley, and Ricky Czar.
